Droplets of rain falling on my skin,
Reminding me the loneliness of the soul within.
The mask i wear is so wearing thin,
Sometimes its easier to just let the devil win.

Dark thoughts swirling deep inside,
Hidden by a smile on the face outside.
I wonder what will happen if i ride the tide,
Will everything i ever knew go far and wide?

Not one snowflake ever has its twin,
But its not the same when it comes to sin.
I can't help trying to suppress a grin,
As i sat idly sipping tonic and gin.

What happened to those typical story endings,
Where good triumph over evil since the beginning?
There weren't much grey area to make it complicating,
Unlike reality where things could be unknowingly tainting.

Tainted by the smell that i can not see,
Tainted by the touch that i can not flee.
Tainted by the sight that i can not be free,
Tainted by the thoughts that is part of me.
